An access log is a text file containing a complete report on all of the files accessed by your Internet site visitors. All of the files which were requested in one way or another shall be included, so when you have a PHP script program and a visitor opens just the home page, for example, you may find many files in the log. The reason is that there are components on the home page which are embedded - parts of other Internet pages, pictures, and so on. All of these files shall be listed within the access log, so you can get a full picture of the way your site functions. The information is in plain text format, so the logs are often described as "raw data" too. An access log provides the name of each requested file, the path to it, the date it was accessed, along with the user’s IP address, world-wide web browser and OS. More information, such as the referrer site, is typically provided as well. A log file can be processed by various desktop applications for statistical purposes as an addition to the web stats provided by your hosting server.
Access Log Manager in Shared Website Hosting
When you opt for one of our shared website hosting solutions, you will get comprehensive access logs for all of your websites. As soon as you sign in to your Hepsia CP, you can check out the Access/Error Logs section in which you will see a thorough list of the domain names and subdomains you have added or created within the hosting account. You will only need to click on the On button, that is found on the right-hand side of each hostname and our cloud platform will start generating logs immediately. To disable this feature, you will need to follow the same exact steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains could be managed independently and at any time. You will find a download link in the Logs section of the CP for every log created by our system, allowing you to save the file to your computer system and view it or use it via some log processing software.
